50 Years of Excellence,
Hard Work & Professionalism

Water is the only drink for a wise man.
— Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862),
     U.S. philosopher, author, naturalist

For more than 50 years, the Mass. Water Works Association has served the drinking water profession. The Association was formed by a group of water superintendents who identified a need to exchange information and discuss current water works practices. Since that time, MWWA has provided a forum for water suppliers to learn about proper water works operations, regulatory requirements, and new technology. Through education and advocacy, MWWA is committed to protecting public health and providing a safe and sufficient supply of drinking water to Massachusetts consumers.

MWWA is the advocate for drinking water professionals in Massachusetts. With more than 1,300 members statewide, the Massachusetts Water Works Association is a strong voice in the legislative and regulatory process.
