WTP Instrument

Don’t Neglect Your Treatment Plant Analyzers!!

 (Course ID#: MWWA 23-005 / MA Wastewater course ID#: BC-2023-3781)

Continuously reading in-line instruments are present in nearly all water treatment facilities – both surface water and groundwater. The reliability and accuracy of these instruments is not only important for optimizing the treatment plant operation but also for regulatory compliance purposes. This training will cover the important operation and maintenance tasks associated with the most common in-line instruments: Turbidimeters, Chlorine Analyzers and pH Meters.

 Learning Objectives:

 Review the regulatory reporting requirements;
 Understand how in-line instruments function;
 Learn about the important considerations regarding installation, routine maintenance and calibration;
 Discuss some of the common problems encountered and valuable troubleshooting tips.

 This course is approved for 2 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for Massachusetts Water and Wastewater Operators. It will be taught using the Zoom platform.  Participants will need to have a reliable highspeed internet connection and computer device with both video and audio capability. Please review our Student Expectations for Attending Virtual Training at  www.masswaterworks.org/education.
