>>> In-person <<<Proper Hydrant Operation & Maintenance(Course ID: MWWA 22-003)Hydrants are the most visible component of a water system. They are used to fight fires, flush pipelines and occasionally used to supply water to trucks or other construction equipment. Improper installation, repair or maintenance can lead to inadequate flow or failure which may result in a life-threatening situation when fighting a fire. This is a great class for any new operators that will be involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of hydrants. Register now as space is limited!!
Learning Objectives: •• Review the types of hydrants and how they operate;•• Understand how to install, repair, and maintain hydrants; •• Learn how to properly perform hydrant flushing and flow testing. This course is approved for 3 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for Massachusetts AND Rhode Island Water Operators. Live in-person class!

ATTENDANCE & TCH POLICY: Participants must attend 90% of the program and complete an assessment and a session evaluation form to be eligible for TCHs.
