Fountain Tour

The EWP Committee invites everyone to take part in a special Treat & Meet experience where we'll get a guided, behind-the-scenes look at the mechanics and water treatment system of the Rose Kennedy Greenway Rings Fountain. The water is treated to ensure the fountain can be enjoyed as designed: as a fully immersive experience!  If time allows, we will walk approximately 10 minutes north to tour the North and South Canal Greenway fountains. Please wear shoes that will allow you to walk comfortably up to 1.25 miles and also traverse metal ladders if you wish to see fountains' underground operations.

After the fountain(s) tour, we will walk back south on the Greenway to gather for socializing at The Trillium Beer Garden.  MWWA will provide snacks.  You are on your own for drinks.

Event Information:

• Time: The fountain tour runs from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Socializing at the Trillium Beer Garden will start approximately 3:45 PM.  (Can't make the tour?  Join us at the Garden!  Just email [email protected] to let us know so we have plenty of snacks!)
  
  
• Location: The tour begins at the Rings Fountain, located at the corner of Atlantic Ave. and Milk St.  The Trillium Beer Garden is a few blocks south of the Ring Fountain, at High Street.
  
  
• Registration: This special Treat and Meet requires registration by August 18th, and there is a Donation amount of $40.00 per person.  Massachusetts Water Works Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization EIN 04-2638649, is collecting the donation and transferring it in full to the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy: 501(c)(3) Public Charity EIN 20-1678932.  The registration confirmation and invoice provide the documentation needed, if you wish to claim the tax deductibility of this gift in the U.S. 
  
  
• Parking: There are many public parking garages near the Rings Fountain and Trillium's Beer Garden (including by the Aquarium and Rowes Wharf).  In addition, you can use the Spot Hero app or website to scout out your options and also reserve and pay for a spot in advance.  The closest T station is Aquarium.
