Fundamentals of Chloramination
(Zoom)

The practice of chloramination is an effective tool for improving distribution system water quality, reducing disinfection byproducts, and maintaining a stable disinfectant residual - but it also introduces a variety of operational challenges. This course provides operators with a practical understanding of chloramination chemistry, distribution system behavior, and the operation and maintenance of chloramination equipment. Participants will learn how to optimize chloramine performance, minimize nitrification risks, and properly monitor and maintain chloraminated distribution systems.
