This is a 12-week state-approved course that is being taught remotely using the Zo om format. The course is designed to provide students with the general conc epts of drinking water treatment processes . Taking and passing this course is a prerequisite for taking the Massachusetts Grade 2 Drinking Water Oper ator Treatment License Exam.
Participants will meet usi ng Zoom for 3 ½ hours each week to learn the following concepts: source wat er protection & management, hydrology, basic math and chemistry, regula tions, water sampling & analysis, hydraulics, treatment processes, equi pment operation and maintenance, safety, and administrative duties. (Note: basic math knowledge is required for this course. Individuals not comfortab le with math concepts should consider taking a math course before taking th is course.)

This remote online course has been approved by the Mass. Board of Certification of Drinking Water Operators.
All participants m ust have access to a computer with a camera and microphone throughout the e ntire class. (Computers without audio can connect to the audio via a telep hone).

We will offer an optional Zoo m practice session will be held on Monday, October 3rd a t 8:30 AM for anyone not familiar with Zoom. Instructions for atte nding the Zoom practice session will be sent to all students 1 week prior t o the start of the course.
